Subbly MCP server

The ecommerce MCP server built for agents

One URL gives any MCP client over 130 tools to run a Subbly store: products, plans, bundles, subscriptions, orders, customers, coupons and inventory. Streamable HTTP, your API key in a header, on every plan.

Any MCP client

Connect any MCP client

If it can send a header to a remote MCP server, it can connect. These three things are all it needs.

X-API-KEY: your Private API key

Get your key in Settings, API keys. The tools are documented in the developer docs, with how to try them in the MCP Inspector.

Every tool your agent needs

Each tool wraps one call to Subbly’s Private API and takes the same fields. These are the 106 in the developer docs; tools that archive or delete something tell the agent to confirm with you first.

Frequently asked questions

What is an ecommerce MCP server?

A server that gives AI agents tools to work on an online store through the Model Context Protocol, the open standard agents like Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor use to connect to other software. Subbly's MCP server gives them tools for products, plans, bundles, subscriptions, orders, customers, coupons and inventory.

What is the Subbly MCP server URL?

https://mcp.subbly.dev/mcp. It uses the streamable HTTP transport, and every request carries your Subbly Private API key in an X-API-KEY header.

Is the MCP server the same as Subbly's Private API?

It is built on it. Each tool wraps one Private API endpoint and takes the same fields, so the Private API reference explains what every field means and what comes back.

Does it work with clients that only run local servers?

Yes, through the mcp-remote bridge, which runs locally and connects to the remote server with your key. The Claude Desktop guide shows the config, with the version pinned.

Can I sign in instead of using an API key?

Not yet. Today every client connects with an API key. Signing in with your Subbly account, so Claude and ChatGPT can connect without a key, is coming soon.

Does the server keep any data?

No. It is stateless: each request is its own session, and it does not store your key. It creates a fresh API client for each tool call with the key that came in.

What can't it do yet?

Design or edit your website (your Subbly agent does that, and site editing through MCP is coming soon), set up funnels, automations, dunning or the referral program, or read analytics reports. Agents can pull the raw orders and subscriptions and work out the numbers.

Which Subbly plans include the MCP server?

Every plan includes the MCP server, with usage limits that depend on your plan.

Is it safe to give an AI agent my Subbly API key?

The key can read and change everything in your store, so treat it like a password and keep it out of files you share or commit. Most agents ask before running a tool unless you allow it, and Subbly's tools tell the agent to confirm with you before archiving or deleting anything. If a key leaks, delete it under Settings, API keys, and it stops working straight away.

Give your agent a store worth running

Your Subbly agent builds a store that looks like your brand. Your own agent runs it. No plugins, no developers, no lock-in.
